Day Two:
Temple beats Marathon Man Clyne in Wimbledon final

Robbie Temple, winner of the first event of the series and starting the day on two wins, came through his group to reach the afternoon's final, but needed to stop a fightback from Joel Hinds in his final match this morning. Temple looked to be easing through at 2-0 but was pegged back by Hinds before finally taking the decider to maintain his unbeaten record in Pool B.

Win or lose in the final, Temple was assured of top place in the rankings after four events.

Who his opponent would be was still unclear, with Ben Ford, Alan Clyne and Nafzahizam Adnan all in with a chance of topping Pool A with three matches still to play.

Wimbledon pro Phil Rushworth, who stood in for Aaron Frankcomb after the top-seeded Australian was injured in his first match, was the only player in the group who couldn't go through, but he made Adnan's path to the final harder as he beat the Malaysian 3-2 to leave all four players on one win each.

Scotsman Clyne took the first two games against Ford, but the Englishman threatened a fightback as he led 7-4 in the third. One mega-rally later though and Clyne assumed control, taking the third to set up a 14.00 winner-take-all clash with Adnan.

Clyne, renowned as one of the fittest players on the circuit, won 3-0 which meant he had a good half-hour rest before taking on Temple in the final, and although he managed to take the left-hander into a deciding fifth game, he eventually ran out of steam as Temple pulled away from 5-all to take the title.
