Thu 26th April, Day Nine:
SEMI-FINALS
The 7th
Edition of #ELGOUNASQUASH continues tonight with four semi-finals (and
it's Semis day in the MASTERS
too).
Egyptian Clean Sweep
as men's top seed and defending champion are beaten
The
semi-finals, contested by the top four seeds in both events, produced
four thrilling matches, four Egyptian winners and a guaranteed new men's
champion as the top seed and defending champion were both beaten.

Top seed Nour El Sherbini started the evening off with a four
game win over Laura Massaro, pulling away after the Englishwoman had
levelled at one-all.

She'll meet
Raneem El Welily in a repeat of last year's World Champs final
here after the second seed came from one-two down to beat compatrion
Nour El Tayeb.

In the men's
semis it was Marwan who prevailed agains elder brother Mohamed in
the latest all-ElShorbagy match, coming through as Mohamed faded in the
fifth.

Defending
champion Gregory Gaultier looked on course as he fought back from a game
down against Ali Farag, but the Egyprian staged his own comeback,
taking the last two games to complete the Egyptian clean sweep.
