Quarter-Finals

The
second part of Round Two, eight more matchers as the
quarter-finalists were decided.
In the afternoon session there were mixed fortunes for the
English women as
Laura Massaro continued her impressive run of for with a
3-1 win over Joelle King, while India's
Joshna Chinappa upset eighth seed Alison Waters in five.
On the men's side
Simon Rosner eased past qualifier Karim Ali Fathi while
Diego Elias won in three tough, fast games against
Cesar Salazar.
On
the Glass court
Raneem El Welily and
Camille Serme completed the
women's last eight as they beat Olivia Blatchford and Emily
Whitlock, both in straight games.
Fares Dessouky delighted the home crowd with a 3-1 win
over Ryan Cuskelly, and world champion Karim Abdel Gawad
completed the last eights as he came from a game down to beat
Borja Golan.

FIVE in El Gouna, and we're back to the top halves of the draws,
with the first set of quarter-finalists to be decided ...
In the afternoon session there were wins for
Sarah-Jane Perry,
Nicol David,
Marwan Elshorbagy and a big upset for
Paul Coll as he beat fifth seed James Willstrop
The
evening session started with a 3-0 win for defending champion
Nour El Sherbini over Tesni Evans. Men's top seed and
defending champion
Mohamed Elshorbagy also progressed, but he needed all
five games to overcome Mohamed Abouelghar.
Nouran Gohar and
Gregory Gaultier finished off the day with contrasting
3-0 wins.
