Qualifying seeds scattered in Sweden
There was no shortage of upsets in qualifying finals for the
CASE Swedish Open in Linkoping, with three of the four
places in the main draw being claimed by the lower ranked
player.
Egypt's former world junior champion Amr Khaled Khalifa
eased to a three-game win over qualifying top seed Chris
Ryder to set up a first round meeting with Simon Rosner.
Chris Simpson was the only one of four Englishmen to
progress, as he beat compatriot Joe Lee 3/0, and he now
meets another Englishman in Tom Richards.
Finland's Henrik Mustonen won a see-saw encounter
with Adrian Waller and musty have been dismayed to see his
name come out against second seed Karim Darwish, again.
New Zealand's Campbell Grayson came from a game down
to beat qualifying second seed Max Lee and he goes through
to a meeting with Steve Coppinger.
