is a former world number 9, currently ranked 18, who will be
looking to start his season with a win as the number one seed.
He is the current Dutch champion and has been training hard in
his off season to have a good base in the upcoming season. |
[2] Adrian Grant (Eng)
Also
a former world number 9, seeded second in this tournament,
Adrian is the figurehead ambassador of Double AR.
He is looking to start his season off with the form he showed at
the end of last season with some wins against higher ranked
opponents. |
[3] Olli
Tuominen (Fin)
Finnish
number one who’s been on the PSA circuit since 1997 and is the
oldest player in this tournament.
Olli has recently shown some dazzling form in South Africa,
beating several top-20 ranked players. He will be one to look
out for in Rotterdam. |
[4] Mathieu Castagnet (Fra)
One
of the French players based in Aix, he has been rising in the
world rankings reaching a career high of 28 only a couple of
months ago.
He is a tenacious player and shows his terrirer-like spirit on
the court with his long dives and splits, making him very hard
to beat. |
Kristian Frost
(Den)
The
Danish number one has risen up the PSA World Rankings in the
last season from 76 to 52.
He showed some great form towards the end of last season and
will be looking to build on his off season training to continue
his rise up the rankings. |
Jan Koukal (Cze)
A
veteran on the tour, Jan is one of the most traveled players and
loves visiting different countries to enjoy their cultures.
A shoulder injury kept him out for a while, but he has started
to gain momentum and will be looking to make a return to the
top-50. |
Steve Finitsis
(Aus)
Based
in the Netherlands, Steve is also an ambassador of Double AR.
He has been showing great results lately, making several finals,
and will be looking to use this tournament as a good start to
his season and use it as a stepping stone to play the bigger
tournaments. |
Lucas Serme (Fra)
Another
young French player who as a junior held the number one European
ranking.
In recent times he has been based in Bristol training with the
likes of Mohamed El Shorbagy (WR 6). He has shot through the
rankings to 75 and his recent performances suggest he should be
higher. |
Jens Schoor
(Ger)
A
German international, currently boasting his highest world
ranking, Jens has won a number of PSA tournaments and will be
looking to make an impact in Rotterdam to increase his ranking.
He has represented Germany many times, and showed his good form
in the recent German league finals. |
Raphael Kandra (Ger)
Another
German player who is making his mark on the PSA World Tour.
The ‘leftie’ is an exciting player to watch and is training hard
with the other top German players, so it’s only a matter of time
before he hits the top-50. |
Aqeel Rehman (Aut)
Currently
boasting his highest ranking, he is the number one Austrian
player and has been showing some great form since he has started
in England with his new coach.
He has made the final in a number of events and will be using
this tournament to boost his ranking. |
Sebastiaan Weenink (Ned)
An
exciting player to watch, Seb is the current Dutch number two,
and had received the wildcard for the tournament, so he can
boost up his world ranking.
His ranking is surely much lower than where it should, so he
will be using this event to gain some valuable points. |
