2ND LEG SSJM JOHOR BAHRU, JOHOR
The 2nd leg was held at Johor Golf & Country Club (JGCC)
from the 1st to 3rd of March 2013.
 The
Men's Draw had 29 players and the top seed for the event was
world no.119 Elvinn Keo. The 8 womens draw was headed by
world no.30 Delia Arnold and world no.44 Siti Munirah
Jusoh. The tournament was opened/officiated by the Politic
Secretary to the Sports Minister, Datuk Dr. Junaidy bin Abdul
Wahab.
The finals were played in front of the Deputy Chief Secretary of
Ministry of Youth and Sports, Dato' Zaidon bin Haji Asmuni
and the Deputy Director of Sports Development Department of the
Ministry.
 The
2nd Leg won by the up and coming junior Sanjay Singh Chai
who played brilliantly well to upset the 1st seeded Elvinn Keo
in 4 games in the semifinal and then in the final, he was too
good and outclassed the 2nd seed Choong Kam Hing in a straight
games.
In the women's draw there's no surprise when 1st seeded Delia
Arnold beat the 2nd seeded Siti Munirah Jusoh in 3-0
although Siti gave a good fight in the first two games. |
