In the men’s competition, we had two upsets in the semis, as none of the top seeds reached the finals!  finals. Mohd Addeen Idrakie, seed 1, bowed to Mohd Syafiq Kamal in 4 long and disputed games. But Tim Arnold, seeded 5/8, had to go to five games to upset seed 2, Choong Kam Hing, remarkably coming from heavily losing the first game 11/1 to finally take the match, 1/11, 11/5, 7/11, 11/9, 11/9!

As for the finals, it started off really close as the players were playing their own game. Syafiq was always looking for opportunity to cut the ball to the front court while Timothy was hitting hard to the back to avoid Syafiq from playing his attacking game. They were shoulder to shoulder until 9 all, but 2 errors from Syafiq gave the first blood away to Timothy, 11-9.

In the 2nd and 3rd game Timothy played fast pace and keep all the ball out of Syafiq’s reach Syafiq struggled to keep up and prone to errors. In the end Timothy easily won the last two games and beat Syafiq by 3-0.

In the women's draw Noor Shadira from ATM has no problem at all to win her 1st and title when she easily beat Heng Yi Lian, a new comer for the Malaysian Tour Squash Circuit 3-0 in 23 minutes. Shadira dominated most of the rallies and making her opponent ran to all the 4 corners.
