Sun 128th Jan, Day TWO - Finals
Finals Day

Another busy day at Pontefract, starting at 9.00 with the presentations scheduled for 15.00.

It was a good start for the hosts as Yorkshire U13 Girls beat Kent 3-0 to claim the first title of the day.

The B13 went down to a decider, with Cumbria winning it to collect their first-ever Junior Inter County team title.

The Boys 15 final was tied at two all, and just as the Devon number two went 2-1 up in the decider the Hampshire player suffered a hamstring injury and was forced to retire, giving the title to Devon.

Yorkshire lost out 3-2 to Warwickshire in the G17 final, but collected a second title as the beat Essex in the G15. Rounding out the Girls events, Kent took the G19 title with a 3-0 win over Surrey.

Yorkshire finished the weekend with three titles as their B19 team went 3-1 up over Hampshire (last match still playing), while Gloucestershire took the B19 title by beating Merseyside 4-1.

Sat 17th Jan, Day ONE - semi-finals

It's going to be a busy two days at Pontefract, with teams in four age groups, boys and girls, semi-finals, finals and playoffs to play. We'll do our best to keep you updated, but anything other than the results and a few photos will be a bonus!

Saturday Roundup

With two teams in the Girls U13, wouldn't you know that Yorkshire I and II get to play each other in the first match! Unsurprisingly the first team won 3-0, and there were round robin wins for Sussex and Bucks.

Two close Boys U13 contests, with Cumbria and Middlesex both winning 3-2 to go through to the final.

In the Girls U15 hosts Yorkshire go through with a 4-1 win over Herts, and they'll face Essex, who beat Hampshire 3-2 in the final.

Hampshire beat Sussex 5-0 in the first B15 semi, but local favourite Sam Todd couldn't keep Yorkshire in contention as he lost at top string as Devon went through to the final.

The first B17 semi between Hampshire and Surrey went down to a decider, with Adam Cocoran winning the final match to put Hampshire in the final.

The G19 final will be an all-Southern affair after Kent's top pair of Georgina Kennedy and Amelia Henley took them through against Gloucestershire, and Surrey went 2-0 up against Leicestershire thanks to a five game win by Alison Thomson over Mari Taylor.

In the B19 semis Gloucestershire went 3-0 up and ended up beating North Wales 4-1 while Merseyside snuck through 3-2 against Surrey.

The day ended as it began with the G13, with YorkshireI and Kent maintaining their unbeaten records to win through to tomorrow's final.
