National Capital Open 2014
02-05 Oct, Chevy Chase, Usa $5k

05-Oct, Final:
Razik takes the title

Canada's Shahier Razik claimed the title in Chevy Chase as he beat Lewis Walters in four games in the final.

04-Oct, Semis:
Razik and Walters in final

After all the day one upsets normal order was restored in the semi-finals as third and fourth seeds Shahier Razik and Lewis Walters both came from a game down to reach the final.

03-Oct, Round One/Quarters
Seeds scattered in Washington

There were two rounds to play as the main draw kicked off in Washington, but both top seeds failed to make it through to the evening's quarter-finals.

England's Ashley Davies, reprieved from qualifying after a late withdrawal, beat top seed Dane Sharp in straight games but then fell 11/9 in the fifth to another Canadian, seventh seed David Letourneau.

Letourneau meets fourth seed Lewis Walters for a place in the final.

In the bottom half of the draw qualifier Ahmad Alzabadi was 2-1 up against Arthur Gaskin when the Irish second seed retired injured, and the Jordanian went on to beat fellow-qualifier Baba Agajbe to claim an unexpected semi-final place against third seeded Canadian Shahier Razik.
