26-Sep, Day Two:
Slovenian women and Croatian men
are the new Balkan Champions!
Women's titleholder Croatia lost in the semis against Greece
but secured the 3rd place by beating hosts Serbia.

The Greek ladies were seeded no1 and hoping to win their
third title after 2010 and 2011. But in the final Slovenia
proved to be too strong and won the championship for the
second time after 2012.
In the men's event the titleholder, Bulgaria, also crashed
out in the semis and then had to battle hard to beat Serbia
for the bronze medal. That made it a depressing day for the
hosts, finishing 4th twice.

The men's final was a replay of the Pool B match the day
before. But this time the Croatians had the better end and
beat Slovenia in a close match 2-1. This is for the first
Balkan title for the Croatian men.
