The men's first semi started with a strong performance by
hosts Romania pushing Croatia to the 5th game of the last
match before narrowly losing.
The other semi was a clear 3:0 victory for Bulgaria against
Serbia.
Positions 5-7 were heavily contested with newcomers Moldova
finishing 5th ahead of Turkey and Romania 2.
In the 3/4 play-off the hosts again put up a good fight but
lost 1:2 against a very motivated Serbian team.
In the last tie of the championship the Bulgarians proved
their top seeding by defeating Croatia 2:0 - the last match
