Atlanta Open 2014
21-26 Jan, Lifetime Fitness, Atlanta, Usa, $10k

Salazar takes Atlanta title

Cesar Salazar started the 2014 Life Time Squash Grand Prix Tour with a win at the Atlanta Open for the first tournament of the year. He becomes the third Mexican player to win this title behind Eric Galvez and Alfredo Avilia.

He played some of his best squash in the final to beat 19 year old Nasir Iqbal 2/11, 11/3, 11/5,11/ 8.

He got off to a slow start, but after the first game he was never in any danger losing the match.

Tournament Director Maur said “He looked very comfortable on court and was the better and more experienced player today."

Next stop on the Life Time Squash Grand Prix Tour is the Houston Open on March 25rd-30th followed by the Vegas Open in May 20th-25th.
