English players report

Soir
Hi Fram,
Outstanding performance by Tom Ford today against
Richie Fallows in the BU19 final. Tom controlled the
ball and court superbly today not allowing Richie into the
match what so ever.
Excellent weight of shot, length and exquisite balls into
the front. Richie was unable to stay in the rallies long
enough before making far too many unforced errors playing
straight into Toms hands losing 3-0 and became the Pioneer
Cup Champion in his last season as a junior. Next stop Qatar
for the World Open.
Good luck to all the English players going to the Dutch
Open.
Well done to all the organisers running a very smooth and
successful event this year at the Pioneer.
Matin
inal's day here in Cologne. Some excellent performances from
Englands top U19 juniors Tom Ford and Richie Fallows
against A Al Tamimi from Qatar and Jan Van Den
Herrewegen from Belgium last Night.
Tough 3-0 wins for both of the English boys with excellent
control and awareness to set up an all English final to
drown out the sorrows of England's loss on penalties to
Italy last night.
Elise Lazarus won comfortably to set up her final
pool match come final against Egypt's Raneem Alaa El Tork.
So to today............
Lazarus won in five over El Tork, looked
comfortable at 2-0 up playing super sensible and structured
squash. Lapse of concentration was all El Tork needed to get
in the match which is what happened and the match went into
the fifth game. A tense affair from start to finish, Elise
did very well to control her emotions and played the
important points well to see the match out cutting out the
unnecessary errors.
James Wyatt was the second match of the day, this
also turned into a five setter against another Egyptian
Aly Hesham Tolba. Tolba came out firing after going 2-0
down ad clawed his way back into the match with some
sensational retrieving. Too many errors again by the English
player made winning so much harder. But again some sensible
squash nearer the end of the match saw James taking 3rd here
in Cologne.
Now for the BU19 final at 2.20pm..........

Coucou Framboise,
Bon bah le tournoi s'achève, je termine 4ème et Marion 10ème .
Je perd contre une Galloise tête de série numéro 2 3/1 . J'ai manqué
de précision et j'ai fait trop de fautes c'est très dommage de
passer à coter d'un podium.
Du côté de Marion, elle a eu des match en poule elle perd contre
Néerlandaise et une Égyptienne. Puis après elle joue contre une
française elle perd 3/0 elle était trop stressée pendant le match.
Ce matin elle gagne une allemande 3/0. Ce tournoi lui aura donné de
l'expérience et elle fera mieux la saison prochaine lors de sa
deuxième année en -13 ans.
Dans l'ensemble c'était un bon dernier tournoi en -15 ans . Je
remercie tous les entraîneurs qui nous ont coaché durant le tournoi.

tournoi.

English players report

Tom Ford beat Rui Suares 3-0 from Portugal.
The first was tight, but from them on Tom controlled the
rallies looking very comfortable and in control. He now
faces A Al Tamimi from Qatar who defeated Daniel
Hockburn 3-1.
Richie Fallows and Matt Sidaway played some
excellent squash when the unforced errors weren't hit,
unfortunately for Matt he made far too many giving Richie
the upper hand after a very tough rally at the beginning of
the second.
After winning the first, this rally did knock Matt for six
slightly as Richie controlled the T from here using all four
corners superbly making Matt do a lot of work and retrieving.
Richie continued in this fashion although he did make a few
too many errors in the fourth almost letting Matt back in
the match. Keeping his composure and controlled hitting he
took the fourth and the match.
Richie now faces Herrewegen from Holland the No 2
seed.
England are of course hoping for an all English Final with
England beating the Italians also in the football tomorrow
night ;-)
James Wyatt the No 2 seed in the U13's,had two
matches today. The first beating M Paquemar from
France 3-0 after being pushed very hard in the first game
13-11.
After a shaky start in the first game, which he lost 11-7 to
O.Ashraf Adly from Egypt, James stepped up a gear
playing with more urgency and control and totally out played
the Egyptian taking the match 11-4, 11-4, 11-5. He now faces
M. Montaser the No 4 seed from Egypt for a place in
the final.
Elise Lazarus is unbeaten so far in the U13 round
robin and on course for a big match with the No 3 seed
Raneem Alaa El Tork from Egypt who has not dropped a
game so far.
Anna Kimberley lost in the U19 Quarters to
Tesse Ter Sluis from Holland 3-1. After winning the
first Anna was unable to hit the spaces consistently enough
giving Tesse too many options on the ball, she took these
well putting Anna under pressure and now faces the No 2 seed
from Belgium Nele Gilis in the semi's.
Jess Davies had a tough battle with the No 3 seed
Jenny Haley from Wales in the quarters. After beating
the 5/8 seed Malinova the day before, Jenny was
definitely tougher opposition. Great first game from Jess
with aggressive attacking drives and attacking volleys
giving Jenny no time as she took that game 11-9.
Clever change of plan by Jenny slowing balls up and using
height limited Jess forcing her into hitting loose balls or
unforced errors. Jenny took the next two games 11-8, 11-8.
Jess was on a comeback in the fourth when she was
accidentally hit by Jenny's backswing, this resulted in Jess
coming off court to ice her cheek.
After going back on court, Jess was not looking so confident
and was off the pace obviously still slightly tentative
after the accident. Jenny kept her cool and took the game
and match 11-8.
Now to watch the footie, who to support Fram, your beloved
France or the very exciting Spanish :-)

Salut Framboise,
Bon bein je suis en Demi-finale !!
J'ai battu l'Egyptienne en début d'après-midi ! Les quarts premiers
points du match je n'étais pas dedans du tout puis après je me suis
libérer et tout ce que je tentais passait sans difficulté donc je
gagne ce match 3/0 !
Je suis très contente d'arriver en demi-finale mais maintenant il
faut que je donne tout contre la belge Tinne Gilis que je joue
demain tête de série numéro 1 du tournoi !
Je te tiens au courant, bonne soirée.

Ce ne devait pas etre mon jour aujourd'hui car j'ai perdu mon second
match de la journée sur le même court pourri que ce matin.
J'ai joué Dimitri Steinmann, un suisse tête de série 5/8. Je perds
11/9 11/7 11/5. Je suis crevé je vais aller me coucher tôt
Demain j'ai un seul match à 9:45 pour les places 11/16
A demain.

Ce matin j'ai joué à 10:20 contre Enzo, la tête de série 1 du
tournoi.
Dans le premier j'ai été un peu sur la réserve et j'ai perdu 11/7.
Dans le second j'ai plus tenté du coup j'ai plus ouvert le cour et
j'ai donc faire de gros efforts quand mon attaque n'était pas nick
mais c'était la bonne tactique puisque j'ai mené 9/6 puis 10/9 mais
j'ai perdu 12/10.
Dans le 3eme je suis cramé et je suis vite mené 6/0 après Enzo gère
et je perds le jeu 11/4.

Salut Framboise ,
Je te tiens au courant de mes nouvelles , sur ce tournoi je
pars tête de série 5/8 .
Ce matin je n'ai pas joué j'ai eu un bye . Donc je suis allée
directement en huitième contre une Finlandaise , je gagne 3/1.
Sur le premier jeu qu'elle gagne j'étais un peu tendue et je
n'arrivais pas à bien placer mes balles du coup j'ai fait beaucoup
de faute et sur les 3 suivants mon stress est parti et mon jeu était
plus propre.
Demain je joue les quarts de finale à 13h contre une égyptienne que
je n'ai encore jamais joué donc voilà. Je vais tout faire pour aller
en demi-finale. Bonne soirée,

Le tournoi commence bien pour moi car j'ai gagné mes 2 matchs
aujourd'hui, le 1er 3-1 contre une américaine qui m'a donné un peu
de fil a retordre car la stratégie n'était pas encore bien en place
et le 2e 3-0 contre une canadienne dont je me suis assez facilement
débarrassée.
Demain ca se complique car je joue Maria Elena Ubina la TS1 du
tournoi mais tout est jouable donc je ne pars pas perdante, loin de
là.

Je jouais une autre tête de série 9/16 ce soir, le slovaque Matej
Prochazka. Un vrai B15 de 1.80m.
J'étais un peu stressé pour ce second match alors j'ai poussé dés le
début et j'ai gagné 11/1. Au second, je pousse encore avec des
amorties précises. Je gagne ce jeu 11/2. Dans le troisième je prends
un mauvais départ et je suis mené 5/1. Je me reconcentre pour
finalement m'imposer 11/6.
Demain je joue la tête de série 1, Enzo Corigliano.
On verra bien maintenant c'est du bonnus pour moi. A bientôt Fram

Après tous mes ennuis, retards d'avion, bagage perdu ... Je gagne
mon premier match en Bu15 contre un suisse Lucas ZATTI. J'ai fait un
bon match et je me suis imposé 3/0 11/4 11/2 11/8. Voila la moitié
de mon objectif atteint.
Un grand merci à Priscilla de Dunlop pour m'avoir permis de jouer
avec la même raquette que d'habitude la F130.

Notre vol d'hier n'a pas été retardé mais annulé. Nous sommes
arrivés avec plus de 4:00 de retard. Heureusement que Papa Coach a
bien négocié si non on serai toujours à Paris.
Théo Froment a donc finalement pu jouer et a gagné contre un
Américain hier soir. Pour moi ca commence a 12:00 mais mon bagage
n'est pas arrivé hier donc ce sera sans mes affaires. Un bon début
chez les -15ans.

Hi Fram
Well, Cologne isn't as sunny as Corsica, but already Tania and i
have caught up with many old faces.
Three of our U13 players ready for action; Jack Turvey, Elise
Lazarus and Jordan Warne.
1st round started tonight with most of the English players playing
tomorrow.
Tania and I are here to coach and support our English players and
hopefully bring a few trophies home.
