The Girls Semi Finals saw two teams from Newcastle, Central Newcastle High and Newcastle Church High meeting once again in the competition to decide who should reach the final.

Both sides gave their all as Central Newcastle edged a 3-2 win to go through. Millfield was faced with Wycombe Abbey, who despite great effort could not overcome the current holders, Millfield winning 4-1.

The final saw Millfield face a strong Northumbria side for the second year running. Both teams starting the tie well, with Millfields 5th String working hard for a 3-2 win, as Central Newcastle’s 4th String battled back to take her game 3-2.

Central Newcastle then proved to strong for the holders, taking the next 3 strings and the title with a 4-1 victory.

Newcastle Church faced Wycombe Abbey in the ¾ Play off, Newcastle taking the 3rd spot with a 5-0 win.

The Girls semi finals started with the two teams from Newcastle (Newcastle Church High/Central Newcastle High) again facing each other as they did in the Under 15 Semi’s, and again after a great battle a 3-2 Victory was won, Newcastle Church this time around taking the tie and heading into the final.

In the other Girls Semi, Brighton come up against Millfield. With Rachel Willmott playing string 1 for Brighton and Emma Chorley for Millfield, it was a re-run of the Under 19 National Championships Finals.
