Depressing news for
Lambs club members and squash fans as the long-running dispute over
the redevelopment of one of the world's most famous squash clubs
appears to be finally over.
After numerous hearings and appeals, the planning inspector has
finally ruled in favour of the developer, Clan Estates, and the
facility which Jahangir Khan once described as "the best squash club
in the world" will be replaced by housing within months.
The last hope of the LAT ("Lambs Action Team") headed by Ken
Pottinger appears to be to find a benefactor who can help to buy the
development from Clan "at a price they can't refuse."
