Quotes & Photos from
Sima Pad-Bod ... thanks!!!

Quarter-Finals Quote Box

"It was good… I was a little bit tired and nervous so I didn't find my shots as tight…and if you give her any thing loose she'll punish you with good winners…She played really well…I wish I were as good when I was 16! And I'm pretty sure I wasn't!

"Happy to get the nerves out of the system…It's been a good tournament and everyone's been so friendly with great hospitality…"

" I enjoyed the match…nice to play a girl from Scotland…great to see an other young star…we had a pleasant match…and I'm looking forward playing Dipika tomorrow…

"We all had a great time in Iran…It's fantastic to see so many girls playing, hope to see them improving and playing on WISPA tour…

"It's also great to see an other tournament in Iran…Hopefully it'll improve every year, and the next tournaments would be held with bigger prize money…It's nice to see so many girls came to support us…it was packed with the girls who seem to love and support the sport…fantastic…nice to visit Rasht…The city's very different and very "green"!...looking forward going for some sight seeing!

"It's good to see so many girls playing Squash. Everyday we have had a huge crowd which is great. Linda Davie has been a great help to this tournament and all the players would like to thank her for all her outstanding efforts.

"Iran has been an experience, and we have all been made to feel like celebrities! It's a pity I lost my match but I'm sure I'll come back in the future.

"I started my games well leading 5-0 or 6-0. I got abstracted and threw away easy points. Dipika took the advantage…she played well…"

Semi-Finals ...

"I felt like playing a good match…long rallies! …I played well, felt calm, so I could play short shots confidently…Even though she got so many ball back, I was still able to be confident in taking her forward…I felt like it was a good match, with some good rallies…

I'm very happy to be in my first final! It's really good to see so many people came to support, getting involved in cheering!

But Karen played really well tonight, and I'm happy to win that one!

"Donna just played well…we had some long rallies…I was the one to go too short too soon…I'm not happy with the way I played…but she played well…in the fourth at 8-all I started playing too safely, so she got on top of me…I got nervous thinking about what I was doing…messy!...my game was not tight…she attacked in the front so well, putting pressure on me at the back corners…

"It's been really good, the tournament…people are really friendly…but it's completely a different world! A different society…such an experience…the spectators are really keen and that's the best thing about this tournament…"

"I don't think I played badly, 'cause she's an experienced player…I know she was away because of her surgery…

"I was tired from my match in the afternoon; because usually we don't play two rounds in a day…I would be back hopefully next year to do much better than this!"
