#3 Max Lee
Hong Kong number one Max Lee
will be paying a first to St George's for the Channel VAS
champs, but he should be well acclimatised after playing the
British Grand Prix in Manchester before heading to Surrey.
Max has been in good form this season, which started at home for
the Hong Kong Open where he produced a series of upsets to reach
his first World Series semi-final, giving eventual champion Ramy
Ashour a good test too.

Since then he's appeard in the China Open, was runner-up
(conceding the final to Daryl Selby) in Macau, and turned in
creditable performances in the Netsuite and US Opens, reached
the third round of the Wadi Degla worlds (where he faced Karim
Abdel Gawad for the second event in a row), and lost a brutal
Qatar Classic match against Ryan Cuskelly, cramping up in the
last couple of points - as he did in his Macau semi.
Max faces a qualifier in the first round, and if he wins that
he's likely to face Colombian cannonball Miguel Rodriguez in the
quarter-finals.
"It's
the last tournament for me in 2016," said Max.
"I've had lots of matches so far this year, and also have some
good results, so I'm just looking for a last push in this year.
"I'll try my best as usual, but not to cramp this time I hope!!
"I'm excited to be coming back to England for a couple of weeks,
I have lots of memories of training and playing matches there,
and although I am new in this tournament, it just feels like a
second home for me."
