NSC Satellite No 4
2007
18-22 June, Kuala Lumpur, $3k + $4k |
Line takes another KL title
What a great final! Sole local survivor, Delia Arnold put in a
great fight against Line Hansen of Denmark in this evening's final
where we saw another marathon match which lasted 80 mins.
Line won the first two games easily before Delia fought all the
way back to win the next two games. In the fifth Delia was leading
4-0 and it looked as though it would be another title for Delia.
Line put up a gutsy come back to win by a margin of 9-7, adding to
her victory in the Satellite #2 in April and the Super Satellite
#1 in May.
Well played both of them. Well done ladies ...

20 Jun:
Adnan Is Lone Seed In KL Satellite Semis
Mohd Nafiizwan Adnan
is in sight of his fourth appearance in a PSA Tour
event final in Kuala Lumpur since April - but
the 21-year-old Malaysian is the only top-four seed to have
reached the semi-finals of the NSC Squash Satellite
No4 after a four-game victory in the
quarter-finals at the National Squash Centre in
Bukit Jalil, Malaysia.
Adnan needed 43 minutes to despatch fellow
Malaysian Ivan Yuen 7-11, 11-7, 11-7, 11-10 (3-1).
His next opponent will be Malaysian qualifier
Kamran Khan, who beat
Hong Kong's Max Lee
11-7, 11-7, 11-8.
The chance of an Adnan family final was
thwarted when sixth seed Elvinn Keo upset second
seed
Nafzahizam Adnan 11-7, 7-11, 11-6, 11-9.
Keo's opponent in the other semi-final will be unseeded
Egyptian Wael Farag - the 11-8, 11-4, 11-7 victor
over fifth-seeded Malaysian Muhd Asyraf Azan.
