It's USA v Egypt in the semis
Both semi-finals will be USA v Egypt
affairs, after quarter-finals day in Houston produced more upset
results.
Qualifier Reham Sedky followed up her win over the top
seed with a straight-game win over Danielle Letourneau, and
she'll face fourth seed Mayar Hany, who won her
all-Egyptian match against Hana Moataz, also in three games.
Amanda Sobhy continued her return to competitive action
with a comfortable three-nil win over world junior champion
Rowan Elaraby, and she'll face another Egyptian opponent after
Nada Abbas upset second seeded Belgian Nele Gilis in four
games.

Sedky takes out top seed in Texas
marathon
After claiming her first US College Nationals Individual title
just three weeks ago, qualifier Reeham Sedky ousted top
seed Hania El Hammamy in a gruelling five-game first round
marathon in Houston.
Hard-hitting Sedky took the first two games, Hammamy struck back
to level, but it was Sedky who powered through the fifth to
complete the 95-minute upset.
Amanda Sobhy continued her comeback with a comfortable
win and now faces world junior champion Rowan Elaraby,
one of four Egyptians in the last eight.
