Top seeded Canadian Andrew Schnell
is the 2016 Sacramento champion afet a straight games win over
Charlie Johnson in the final - his third PSA title in just five
weeks since winning February !

A busy day in Sacramento as the trio of
Mexican qualifiers finally bowed out in the quarter-finals, and
in the evening semis it was top seed Andrew Schnell and
unseeded Charlie Johnson who prevailed.
Canadian Schnell continued his run of comfortable wins as he
beat Faraz Khan in straight games, while Johnson lost a two game
lead against third-seed Jan Van Den Herrewegen before finally
winning 17/15 in the fifth.
01-Apr, Round One:
Qualifiers march on in Sacramento
Three Mexican qualifiers produced
upset rtesults in round one in California as Jorge Gomez,
Miled Zarazua and Edgay Zayas all continued their
run of form to take out seeded opponents.
Most impressive was Zayas' win over second seed Arthur Gaskin,
setting up a quarter-final with Charlie Johnson, who beat
8th seed Reuben Phillips.
A fifth upset came when Faraz Khan came from tweo games
down to beat fourth seed Josue Enriguez, and a sixth was
narrowly avoided as third seed Jan Van Den Herrewegen
came from two games down to dent Babatunde Ajagbe.
31-Mar, Qualifying Finals:
Mexicans storm into main draw
It was a good day for the Mexicans in Sacramento as the four
places in the main draw were claimed by Miled Zarazua, Ricardo
Lopez, Jorge Gomez and Edgar Zayas.
