Qatar Circuit #3 2016
19-23 Mar, Doha, Qatar, $15k

23-Mar, Final:
It's a home win for Abdulla

Home favourite Abdulla Al Tamimi won a thrilling five-game final against Egyptian top seed Karim Ali Fathi to claim the $15k title on his home courts.

22-Mar, Semis:
Fathi survives as Tamimi makes the final

The semi-finals of the Qatar Circuit III were contrasting affairs as top seed Karim Ali Fathi overcame fifth seeded Malaysian Ivan Yuen in a gruelling five-setter, which could have gone either way, while home favourite Abdulla Al Tamimi breezed past Mazen Gamal, proving too strong for the Egyptian on the night.

21-Mar, Quarters:
Tamimi survives to make semis

Local favourite Abdulla Al Tamimi made it through to the semi-finals in Doha, but only after surviving a five game encounter with young Egyptian Karim El Hammany.

He now meets another Egyptian after seventh seed Mazen Gamal upset second seeded compatriot Mohamed Reda in four games.

In the top half of the draw another Egyptian, top seed Karim Ali Fathi, despatched Piedro Schweertman in straight games and now faces Malaysia's Ivan Yuen for a place in the final.

20-Mar, Round One:
Tamimi through to home quarters in Qatar

Round one of the third event in the Qatar Circuit saw the top three seeds, including home favourite Abdulla al Tamimi, progress to the quarter-finals, although none of them had particularly easy passages.

Kuwaiti qualifier Ammar Altamimi produced the big upset of the day as he outlasted fourth-seeded German Jens Schoor in five games to saet up a meeting with the day's other giant-killer, Egyptian Karim El Hammamy.
