ended with top seed Amanda Landers-Murphy set to face
in-form Scot Lisa Aitken in Sunday's final.

minutes, Landers-Murphy battled past fellow Kiwi Megan Craig in
the semis while Aitken denied an all-Kiwi final as she
despatches Amma Millar in straight games.
Round One:
Kiwi trio through to Matamata quarters
Home interest continues in the Matamata Open, with three Kiwias
winning through to the quarter-final stage.
Top seed Amanda Landers-Murphy was made to work hard for
her spot, twice trailing by a game before beating Malaysian
qualifier Aifa Azman 12/10 in the fifth!
Megan Craig upset fourth seeded Andrea Lee in four games,
and seventh seed Emma Millar won an all-Kiwi matchup
against qualifier Abbie Palmer.
Landers-Murphy now faces sixth seed Jemyca Aribado of the
Phillipines, Craig faces another Malaysian opponent in Zoe
Foo, while Millar meets third-seeded Aussie Samantha
Foyle.
At the bottom of the draw Scotland's unseeded Lisa Aitken,
winner of her first PSA title last week in Palmerston North,
continued her cull of the seeds with a straight-game win over
second seed Jessica Turnbull, and she now meets Aika Azman,
the fifth seeded Malaysian, for a place in the semi-finals.
