Malaysia Tour Leg Two 2016
12-16 Apr, Royal Lake Club, Kuala Lumpur, $5kx2

16-Apr, Finals:
Top juniors provide home double at Royal Lake

Malaysia's top juniors provided a popular home double in the Malaysian Tour Leg II finals at Royal Lake club in Kuala Lumpur.

In the women's final Siva Subramanian, the 17-year-old third seed, beat experienced Aussie Lisa Camilleri in five games, easing through the decider 11/1 after 48 minutes.

For Siva it was a second WSA title in quick succession, having taken her first title in the tour's first leg in  Melaka last month.

The men's final saw Eain Yow Ng claim a fourth upset in a row as the unseeded 18-year-old beat fourth-seeded compatriot Elvinn Keo in a see-saw five-setter that lasted 55 minutes.

For Ng the win was a welcome reversal of his loss in the first leg final to claim his first PSA title.

Three Malaysians through to Royal Lake finals

Semi-finals of the second leg of the Malaysian Tour saw three home players progress to the semi-finals at the Royal Lake Club.

Malaysia's unseeded top junior Eain Yow Ng continued came from a game down to beat third seed Addeen Idrakie, and will face Elvinn Keo in an all-Malaysian final after the fourth seed beat Jordan't Ahmad Alsaraj in four games.

Two qualifiers had made it through to the women's semis, but their runs ended there as Siva Subramanian, the third seed, beat Japan's Satomi Watanabe in four games and Australia's Lisa Camilleri edged past local Aifa Azman in five.

14-Apr, Quarters:
Upsets continue at Royal Lake

Quarter-finals of the second leg of the Malaysian Tour saw more upsets in both draws at the Royal Lake Club.

Malaysia's top junior Eain Yow Ng continued to progress as he beat fifth seeded compatriot Valentino Bong in straight games to set up another all-Malaysian match with third seed Addeen Idrakie.

In the bottom half of the draw fourth seed Elvinn Keo made it three Malaysians in the semis with a five-game win over Syafiq Kamal, but Jordan's Ahmad Alsaraj denied the hosts a clean sweep as he beat second seed Sanjay Singh.

Two qualifiers made it through to the women's semis - Japanese junior Satomi Watanobe beat yesterday's giantkiller Nazihah Hanis in straight games while Malaysian junior Aifa Azman beat second seed Lotte Eriksen in a big upset.

In the semis Watanobe faces top Malaysian junior Siva Subramaniam while Azman is up against experienced Aussie Lisa Camilleri.

13-Apr, Round One:
Malaysians advance as top seeds are beaten

The first round of the Malaysian Tour second leg at the Royal Lake Club in KL saw plenty of home players advance to the men's and women's quarter-finals, but the top seeds in both events will not be among them.

In the men's draw top seeded Spaniard Carlos Cornes was beaten in four games by Malaysia's top junior Eain Yow Ng, while in the women's draw another unseeded home player produced the upset as Nazihah Harris got the better of Vanessa Raj in five games.

The only other upset on the men's side saw Spain's Bernat Jaume beat eight seed Muhammad Hannan, while in the women's draw qualifiers Satomi Watanabe, Aifa Azman and Andrea Lee all upset seeded opponents.
