Down to the semis in Yerevan
The upsets continue in Yerevan, where an usdeeded finalists is
guaranteed.
In the top half of the draw the seeds asserted themselves as
Anna Serme and Enora Villard won through to the semis
with victory over qualifiers, but in the bottom half of the draw
Anna Kimberley and Melissa Alves both went through
at the expense of their seeded opponents.
26-Jun, Round One:
Seeds stumble in Yerevan
Round on of the Armenian Challenger II in Yerevan saw four seeds
depart and three qualifiers progress.
Top seed Anna Serme survived the cull and will face
qualifier Nadeen Kotb, who beat fellow Egyptian fifth
seed Farah Momen.
Switzerland's Cindy Merlo was the second qualifier to
progress, and she'll face Enoro Villard, the thrid seed
who won an all-French battle with Julie Rossignol in five.
England's Anna Kimberley took out fourth seed Eve
Feterkova in straight games to set up a quarter-final with
Iran's eighth seed Arezoosadat Mousavizadeh.
I the biggest upset of the day French qualifier Melissa Alves
beat second seed Ineta Mackevica in three close games, her next
opponent will be sixth seeded Egyptian Menna Nasser.

Finals:
There was no joy for the four Iranian playes in the qualifying
finals, as Cindy Merlo, Melissa Alves, Anam Aziz and Nadeen
Kotb won through to the main draw in Yerevan with quick
three-nil wins.
