There have been 17 editions of the Women's World Team
Championships, the latest one last December in New Zealand
where Australia captured a record 9th title.
Many famous names have competed in the event, and most will
surely have memorabilia and photos from their experience.
But ...
The first event was held in 1979, well before the digital
age, at Edgbaston Priory in Birmingham, UK, where Great
Britain beat Australia in the final.
The Aussie captain was Sue King (nee Newman), who won
the British Open the year before.
Susan is trying to update her albums, and is searching for
photos from that event, particularly one of the
Australian team.
If anyone can help, please get in touch with Sue on
suesquash@hotmail.com,
and of course we'd love to receive enough material on the
event to recreate it SquashSite-style ...
