RSS ???
what's that ?

For those of you who already know, the address you need for SquashSite's RSS feed is:

www.squashsite.tumblr.com

For those who don't, RSS (short for "Really Simple Syndication", or "Rich Site Summary") is a method websites use to feed headlines to users and other sites.

Or, to put it another way:

"Get the latest squash headlines
  delivered direct to your desktop"
.

Sounds good? Read on ...

Basically, when we add a new story to SquashSite we update our XML (eXtensible Markup Language) RSS page (that's the address above).

Individual users can use an RSS reader to be automatically notified of updates to this and other newsfeeds, and other websites can 'subscribe' to the newsfeed to provide their users with the latest squash headlines.

There are many online and desktop readers available - Rocket Reader (online) and RssReader (desktop) are just two examples.

Or, many sites such as Yahoo now allow you to create your own personal pages, and subscribe to RSS feeds on them.

Of course, you can use the readers to keep up to date on a whole host of other sites, weblogs, etc, but we know you'll keep SquashSite at the top of the list!

And if it's all too much, don't worry ... just keep on visiting SquashSite to be kept up to date with everything that's happening in Squash ...

As we learn more about RSS and XML the service will improve, so even if you don't use it straight away, you can call back to see how we're doing ...

And if you'd like some assistance in putting the SquashSite RSS Feed on your site, or have any comments on the service, just get in touch.
