11-Oct, Semis:
All-Malaysian final
Malaysia's top two players
Ong Beng Hee and Nafiizwan Adnan will contest the dream Royal Lake
Club Open final after prevailing in contrasting semi-finals at the
Royal Lake Club Kuala Lumpur.
Top seed Beng Hee stormed to an 11-6, 11-8, 11-6 victory in just 37
minutes over Pakistan's No4 seed Aamir Atlas Khan.
The triumph takes the 33-year-old world No23 from Penang through to
the 23rd Tour final of his career - but his first on home soil since
winning the Malaysian Open in July 2008.
The other semi was an all-Malaysian affair in which the country's
number three Ivan Yuen stretched Adnan for 73 minutes before the
second seed eventually closed out the match 10-12, 11-7, 11-7, 11-8
to secure his anticipated place in the final.
The win takes 27-year-old Adnan into the 17th Tour final of his
career - and his 11th on home soil.
