Balancing an Egg on the Equator

Ecuador ... South America ... Equator.

Strange things happen at the Equator, apparently.

One: just North of it water swirls down a drain clockwise ... just South of it it drains anti-clockwise.

Two: try balancing an egg on the head of a nail. Can't do it, can you ...... unless you're at the Equator, where it's easy.

Mind you, Lucas Serme's expression after accomplishing the trick suggests it's not THAT easy, but at least he did it.
  
Apparently there's a trick with Llamas too, but we're not sure what that entails ...
