Frost makes it three in Barwa Bank Challenge

Top seed Kristian Frost collected his fourth PSA winner's trophy - and the third in a row after triumphing in the Canary Islands and Move Opens - as he beat his semi-final and final challengers in straight games on the last day of the Barwa Bank PSA Challenger in Doha, Qatar.

The Danish number one, ranked 71 in the world, first ended the run of Welsh qualifier David Haley, then beat Kuwaiti third seed Bader Al Hussaini to claim the title.

Hussain al Abdullah, Barwa Bank, Mohammed Saleh Al Khulaifi,  QSF Board Member, Alaaeldeen Allouba, QSF Technical Expert

Barwa Bank is extremely proud to be the exclusive sponsor of the Barwa Bank Squash Challenger 2012 tournament in association with the Qatar Squash Federation (QSF).

This tournament presents a wonderful opportunity for the bank with more than 16 professional players from around the world, including Qatar, competing for the Cup.

Barwa Bank has a continuing commitment to supporting Qatar’s 2030 vision, with sport being an important aspect of this. We organised the first Ramadan indoor football championship in Qatar in collaboration with Qatar Charity and are currently sponsoring Ziyad Rahim, Head of Market Risk at Barwa Bank, who will compete in the grueling Marathon des Sables on 6 April - 16 April 2012 to raise money towards the treatment of Noma.

This is the second squash tournament that Barwa Bank has sponsored. Squash is an increasingly popular sport amongst Qatar’s youth and is in line with our strategy of serving, encouraging and assisting future generations.

We wish all the players the best of luck and hope that many people will turn out to support them.

Mr. Hussain al Abdullah
Head of Retail Banking, Barwa Bank
