Reda Rallies To Pyramid
Prize
Top seed Ali Anwar Reda survived two successive marathon encounters
in the inaugural Pyramid International in the USA to win the $10,000
title at Pyramid Squash in Tuckahoe, New York.
The 20-year-old Egyptian took 85 minutes to overcome Australia's No4
seed Scott Arnold in five games in the semi-finals before facing a
further Australian, second seed Ryan Cuskelly, in the final.
New York-based Cuskelly, the 22-year-old world No54 from New South
Wales, took the opening game - but Reda, the world No33 from Cairo,
battled back to take the next three to record a 9-11, 11-5, 11-8,
11-8 victory after 80 minutes.
The success marks the ninth PSA Tour title of Reda's short career to
date.
