10-Jun,
Semis & Final:
Frost doubles up in Kriens
Having taken the Sekisui Open
title in Kriens last month, Kristian Frost was top-seeded for
the Pilatus Cup at the same venue, and duly made it two in a row.
Frost and fellow Dane Rasmus Nielsen, the second seed, both
won their morning semi-finals in convincing fashion to set up a
repeat of the Sekisui final.
Frost dominated the final, overpowering Nielsen physically to win
11/3, 11/6, 11/7 and finish the tournament without dropping a game.
The win marks his sixth PSA title, and the fourth this year!
"I’m
a very happy man!! I had a very hard match with Lucas this morning
which I managed to get through 3/0 and by doing so I was fresh for
the final.
"In the first I played a great game. I hardly did mistakes and yet I
hit some great shots. I’m proud of myself for winning two events
almost back to back!
"Thanks Pascal for a great event! Thanks to Beni and his family and
the family Kazamia for having me as well!
"A huge thanks to my family and Camilla for supporting me – and a
big thanks to EYE, newline, asics, ketshop and CEP."

"Not much to say. He didn’t have to do much today. Probably played
one of my worst matches on the tour. Couldn’t get the body going,
and made many unforced mistakes.
"Thanks to Pascal and the team for the event it’s always a nice time
here."

09-Jun, Quarters:
End
of the road for the Swiss in Kriens
After
enjoying several home successes in the morning's first round
matches, the Pilatus Cup crowd saw the top four seeds - none of them
Swiss - progress to tomorrow's semi-finals in the evening session.
The top Danish duo Kristian Frost and Rasmus Nielsen
are favourites to play a reprise of their Sekisui Open final at the
same venue a couple of weeks ago, but Frenchman Lucas Serme
and Germany's Jens Schoor may have something to say about
that ...Frost bt Fischer 11/8, 11/8, 11/8
I’m very pleased with my performance. I did a few mistakes, but
overall very happy! Tomorrow I’m playing Lucas. I’ve played him
since I was 15! I’m looking forward to it!
Kristian Frost
I thought I played alright, didn’t have the legs today though. I
need to play lots of those matches to get used to the pace and the
level. But today I did what I could so I’m happy for now.
Beni Fischer
Serme bt Peter 15/13, 11/4, 11/2
Such
a tough first game. It was really important to win it. After that he
got more and more tired, and made quite a few mistakes, while I was
getting more and more confident. So just happy to win in 3 again.
And then tough match tomorrow. Hopefully I win
Lucas Serme
Tough first game I felt like dominating him but I did too many
mistakes at the wrong time. All credit to him. He played really
accurate and was so quick. He made my life so hard on that court.
Too good. I now need a summer break and then I get back to training.
Reiko Peter
Schoor bt Cornes 11/5, 11/4, 11/8
Played
Carlos tonight the first time and I wasn’t sure what to expect. I
have seen him play before and I knew that he is a very talented and
skillful player. So I tried to keep it away from the midcourt area
and put him under pressure which really worked out. Happy to win…
Facing Rasmus again tomorrow in the semis as two weeks ago, but
hopefully with a better outcome for me tomorrow.
Jens Schoor
Jens was way to good for me, got in top in the first and the third
but made too many errors. He put me under so much pressure. Wish him
the best of luck. NOW; SUMMER BREAK!!!
Carlos Cornes
Nielsen bt Miescher 11/4, 11/3, 11/3
Think
I played well tonight. I was accurate in the rallies and was finish
them of well. Really happy with the match and hope I can keep it up
for tomorrow.
Rasmus Nielsen
This was a real learning lesson for me. Rasmus was just too strong
for me today. I will take with a lot from this match and wish him
all the best for the rest of the tournament.

FROGS' TALK
salut frambi,
bisous

08-Jul, Qualifying
Finals:
Swiss & French progress in Kriens
Miescher bt Kuchen 11/4, 5/11, 11/3, 5/11, 11/3
Today I played against a very good friend and training partner of
mine. It was a very good and friendly game. Now I’m going to have a
rest to be ready tomorrow.
Patrick Miescher
I congratulate him for the qualification. I couldn’t play constant.
I wish him good luck for his next match.
Cedric Kuchen
Dadot bt Sadeghpour 11/8, 11/3,
11/7
I’m extremely happy to win my match 3/0 and qualify me for the main
draw. At the very beginning I was under stress and it reflected on
my game. After a few points, I played simple and searched my length.
It proved successful for the next two games. I’m waiting the draw
for my next game. The PSA in Kriens brings me luck.
Jerome Dadot
I started good. I was 4-0 up and I played with slow pace but when I
changed my pace then <I played very bad and I didn’t play any single
shot. Any way I go back home and do more work hard.
Mohammad Sadeghpour
Fischer bt Burkhart 8/11, 11/2,
11/9, 11/9
Solid performance, happy with the way I played. We know each others
game very well so it’s hard for both of us. Looking forward to
playing in the main draw tomorrow.
Benjamin Fischer
I think it was a nice match against a good friend. I wasn’t at my
best today, especially my consentration, because of the final exams
I had this week. But Beni managed to be stadier at the end. I wish
him all the best for the rest of the tournament.
Lukas Burkhart
Petrucci bt Killingberg 11/8,
11/8, 11/7
I’m also happy to win today, I do better than weeks before so if
it’s a good thing I hope I will win tomorrow also. See you tomorrow
Antoine-Camille Petrucci
Antoine played better and deserved to win. Simple math. I didn’t
play badly, just made wrong choices on the important points. The hot
courts made me slow, and that removes my biggest strength. It is
hard to play out of your comfort zone, but very learningful.

FROGS' TALK
salut frambi,
j'ai réussi à me qualifier contre la tête de série 2 des qualifs sur
le score de 3/0, je suis très content de mon résultat. Ça me rassure
au niveau des entraînements je me dit que ça commence à payer.
J'ai pas été gâté au niveau du tirage, jouer contre Lulu j'aurai
préféré éviter. Mais bon je vais tout donner pour essayer de faire
un bon match et gagner !

07-Jul, Qualifying
Round One:
Swiss drawn together in Kriens
The first qualifying round of
the PSA $5k Pilatus Opern in Kriens saw four Swiss players progress
to tomorrow's qualifying finals - where they play each other ...
Dadot bt Furger 11/3, 11/3, 11/3
I’m happy to be in Switzerland again to play a PSA and to win my
match 3/0. Court was hot but I enjoyed my game today. I hope I will
play like that tomorrow, to qualify for the main draw.
Jerome Dadot
I’m happy with my match today, it’s always a great experience to
play these matches. Jerome played well and made no mistakes. Now I’m
looking forward to the summer break.
Fabian Geurger
Sadeghpour bt Grüter 11/1, 11/4, 11/2
I had a very hard trip to arrive here but I have a good feeling in
this nice country and club. Well, I passed first round now. I know
the courts very good and I will try my best tomorrow against a
Frenchman.
Mohammad Sadeghpour
Today I played a good player from Iran, who is a better
player than me. If I want to beat him, I need to practise more!
Especially I need to become better in my volleys. But there is much
other things I must practise… I didn’t play very well today but I
couldn’t win the match anyway. My goal is to beat this guy in about
1 ½ year, maybe earlier."
Dennis Grüter
Kuchen bt Tschopp 10/12, 11/4, 11/8, 11/9
I was already tired at the start of the match. I’m happy to win the
match, now I’m looking forward to the next match - against a friend
from my club here.
Cedric Kuchen
Today I played not at my best. But Cedric didn't either, so the
level of squash was not that good. But it turned into a really tough
match in which I started to struggle physically during the third
game.
But I couldn’t expect to play well as I couldn’t train for a week
due to my exams at university. All credit to Cedric. Even if he
didn’t play well he fought and was able to break me physically.
Mario Tschopp
Miescher bt Imhof 11/3, 11/6, 11/4
Today I played against a club colleague of mine. He surprised me and
played well on the bouncy court. I’m happy to win and looking
forward to tomorrow and hope to qualify for the main draw.
Patrick Miescher
Today I had the great opportunity to play vs Patrick, he’s a high
levelled swiss squash Player from my club, so I knew him before. I
think I could learn something about the speed and power of squash.
During the match I recognized that I have to work on my strength and
fitness. My goal was to reach 20 points and be as fast as possible
with my racket and legs also I wanted to run until I can’t anymore.
I won 13 points but I couldn’t play any better. After the match I
had to lay down for about 5 min and take some breaths, so I
definitely could walk enough. At the end of the day I’m satisfied
with my performance and I hope that I could improve my skills.
Alec Imhof
Petrucci bt Handl 11/7, 11/5, 11/3
I’m happy to win my first match today, hope I will win tomorrow to
make better than 2 weeks before. Always good to come to Switzerland.
See you tomorrow.
Antoine-Camille Petrucci
I started well today. I was able to put pressure on him and play a
high and fast pace. In the second and third, especially in the third
I left to much energy and went to early for the nick. At least a
good experience, but a lot of work to do during summer.
Remo Handl
Killingberg bt Siewerdt 13/15 11/6 11/6 11/9
Piece of cake! Not at all. I did not feel comfortable on court at
all today. All credit to a talented opponent that did not give me
much to work with. Tight and fair match could really tip either way.
Relieved to pull through.
Kim Are Killingberg
I am really disappointed with this match. I think there was a chance
to win this match. I hope I can learn a lot out of this match and
improve my Squash for next season. Congrats to Kim.
Joel Siewerdt
Burkhart bt Lindemann 11/3, 11/5, 11/8
I think I played a bit to solid for him today. He’s a young upcoming
player who can hit some good shots from everywhere. So you have to
be ready for them all the time.
But I was able to control the T from the beginning and made it hard
for him. In the end of the third I was a bit unfocused and opened up
the court too much.
Lukas Burkhart
I made far too many errors in the first two games. I was too
offensive even when I was under pressure. I played his game and that
was the big mistake today. I played well in the third but at the
moment he’s just too strong for me. Good luck to him for the rest of
the tournament.
Yannick Lindemann
Fischer bt Nowisz 11/4 11/4 11/1
Not the best performance today. I am just happy that the season is
finished now. But all credit to him. He played much better than me
today.
Wojiciech Nowisz
Its so nice playing at home. I'm feeling much better after a couple
of weeks of hard training and look forward to playing a lot over the
next few months.
