13-Jul, Day Three:
Top seeds claim Gold in Toronto

Plenty of action today, with the men's and women's doubles events getting down to the semi-final stages in the afternoon, followed by the singles finals and doubles semis in the evening.

Colombia's Miguel Rodriguez fought off a determined challenge from Peru's world junior champion Diego Elias to retain the title he won in 2011, then Amanda Sobhy beat fellow-American Olivia Blatchford in straight games to take the women's title.

Sobhy had earlier guaranteed herself another shot at gold as she and her partner Natalie Grainger had, unseeded, reached the women's doubles final where they will face Canadian pair Sam Cornett and Nikki Todd, who ousted the top seeds in the semis.

Canada will also feature in the men's doubled final with the Schnell brothers Andrew and Graeme, who will face Colombian pair Andres Herrera and Juan Vargas in the gold medal match - both pairs 5/8 seeds.

12-Jul, Day Two:
Singles medalists decided ...

Two rounds of play today, and in the afternoon quarter-finals it was the top four seeds who won through in both men's and women's draw.

The evening semi-finals saw top seeds Colombia's Miguel Rodriguez and USA's Amanda Sobhy through to the finals as both beat 3/4 seeded Canadian opponents in Shawn Delierre and Sam Cornett, but there were upsets in the bottom half of both draws.

World junior champion Diego Elias had just pulled a game back against second seed Cesar Salazar when the Mexican had to retire with injury, while Olivia Blatchford guaranteed the USA Gold and Silver medals as she beat Mexico's Samantha Teran in straight games.

Gold and Silver guaranteed - from Team USA

“For the first time in a long time we are going to hear our National Anthem while standing on the top of the podium.”

11-Jul, Day One:
