Rodriguez and Teran in repeat PanAm Glory
Colombia's Miguel Rodriguez made it four Pan American
wins in a row as he denied home hopes in Toluca with a
straight-games win over Alfredo Avila, but Samantha Teran
gave the home crowd a gold medal to cheer as she came from a
game down against top seed to win the title for the seventh
time.
Rodriguez had earlier collected the mixed doubles Gold with
partner Catalina Pelaez.

Top seeds through to semis in Toluca
While the top two men's and women's seeds made it through to
the semi-finals of the Pan American Olympic Festival (are
these the Pan American Championships, we're really not sure)
in Toluca, Mexico, there were some upsets along the way too.
Top seeded Colombian Miguel Rodriguez is the only
non-Mexican left in the men's draw, he meets Cesar Salazar
while Arturo faces second seed Alfredo Avila.
In the women's draw top seed Sam Cornett meets the only
remaining USA contender in Olivia Blatchford, while second
seed Samantha Teran faces unseeded Danielle Letourneau.
