Amir Atlas upsets Farhan Zaman
Fourth seed Amir Atlas Khan beat second seed Farhan Zaman to
reach the final of FMC Pakistan International Squash Championship in
Lahore.
Amir won the first game 11-9 in 9 mins, Zaman came back to level the
match 11-7. Amir started the third game with little pace and won
11-6, Zaman again level the match 7-11. In the final game Farhan was
4-1 & 10-7 up, Amir saved three match ball to equal 10-10 & later
won the match 19-17.
In the final he will face top seed Nasir Iqbal, who beat
third seed Danish Atlas Khan - Aamir's younger brother - in straight
games.

Qualifying complete in Lahore
The upsets continued in the qualifying finals of the FMC Pakistan
Circuit #1 in Lahore, with just one of the seeded players making it
through to the main draw.

Israr Ahmed upsets top seed
Waqas Mehboob
The
first qualifying round of FMC Pakistan International Circuit-1 started
here at Punjab Squash Complex, Lahore Pakistan.
The qualifying round started with an upset when the top seed Waqas
Mehboob lost to the local boy Israr Ahmed 11-7, 12-10, 6-11, 14-12.
Israr started confidently and won the first two games 11-7 & 12-10,
later the much experienced players Mehboob won the third game 11-6.
In the final game Ahmed started the game with a lead with 3-0 and
than Mehboob equal that to 3-3, at one stage Ahmed was down at 6-9.
Ahmed saved three game balls and won the match 14-12. This is
Ahmed’s first win against Mehboob.
