Bianchetti bags Brescia hat-trick


Home favourite Davide Bianchetti collected his third Mega Italia title at the Shopping Center il Leone in Lonato in Brescia.

Bianchetti's route to the final was barred by three Englishman, with Eddie Charlton extending him for an hour in the quarter-finals before the world number 29 went on to beat Jaymie Haycocks in straight games in the semis.

His opponent was Egyptian teenager Andrew Wagih, who is seeded fourth in the forthcoming World Juniors in Chennai, who has beaten second and third seeds Mazen Gamal and John Rooney en route to the final.

The Italian's experience shone through in the final as he won in straight games.

The 13th MEGAITALIA SQUASH OPEN takes place for the second time at the Shopping Center il Leone in Lonato from 7-11 July.

Players from over 12 nations all around the World will take part in the International PSA competition. The top three Italian players, Davide Bianchetti (world rank 29), Luca Mastrostefano (world rank 155) and Gianvito Allegretti, wildcard of the tournament, are in the main draw.

Numerous fans are expected to support the local players in the MEGAITALIA OPEN that confirms to be the most prestigious tournament of squash in Italy.

To give place to all the spectators, a stand will be installed in front of the court and created an hospitality area for all the guests and players
