Top seed Coline Aumard beat
local favourite Rachel Arnold in four games to collect the women's
title in Pahang, but there was cause for the home crowd to celebrate
as Addeen Idrakie took the men's title with a straight-games win
over Nathan Lake.

Lake lashes top seed to reach final
England's Nathan Lake
came from a game down to topple top seed James Huang in Pahang, the
third seed prevailing in four games after a 77-minute match.
In the final he'll face home player Addeen Idrakie, the
fourth seed who beat compatriot Elvinn Keo in straight games.

The women's final will be contested by the top seeds after
France's Coline Aumard and Malaysia's Rachel Arnold
won in straight games - although top seed Aumard's win over
Hana Ramadan took 50 minutes.

Seeds assert in Pahang
Quarter-finals in Pahang saw
the seede palyers exert their authority, but it was easier for some
than others.
In the women's draw Coline Aumard, Hana Ramadan and Teh Min
Jie all progressed ion straight games in half an hour or less,
but second seed Rachel Arnold took over an hour to get past
fellow-Malaysian Zuljijah Binti Azan 8/11, 11/9, 21/19, 11/7.
Top seed in the men's draw James Huang needed four games
to beat Jordan's Ahmad Alsaraj, and he'll meet Nathan Lake
after the third seeded Englishman saw off Muhd Hannan in straight
games.
The bottom half of the draw saw two tough all-Malaysian
encounters as fourth seed Addeen Idrakie beat Valentino Bong
11/6, 10/12, 11/8, 16/14 while Elvinn Keo, seeded #8, stopped
the giant-killing run of Mohd Syafiq Kamal 12/10, 12/10, 11/13,
6/11, 11/9.
09-Sep, Round One:
Kamal stops Singh
Just one upset in the men's first round in Pahang as Mohd Syafiq
Kamal, a late entry into the main draw after some withdrawals,
beat second seed Sanjay Singh 12/10 in the fifth.
Kamal is one of five Malaysians through to the quarter-finals, four
of them in the bottom half to guarantee a home finalist.
In the women's draw top seeds Coline Aumard and Rachel Arnold
received byes into the last eight, where they re joined by the
remaining six seeds.

Leg Seven Preview
2015 Malaysian Tour Squash Circuit will
bring joy and good news for our local men’s and women’s national and
back-up players who have insufficient funds to travel outside of
Malaysia to play PSA tournaments.
Sportspin Event & Athlete Management Sdn Bhd is proud to announce
that we are going to host at least 10 WSA and PSA events all over
Malaysia. This will help our national men’s and women’s back – up
players to improve their ranking by playing these events and also
exposing them to a higher level of competition to further prepare
them for bigger international events.
This year, Sportspin will organize four doubles circuit, three
normal standard doubles and one jumbo doubles before the SEA GAMES
in Singapore .
Sportspin Event & Athlete Management is working together with ASB
Squash Court, Ashaway and PSA. Our events are also being supported
by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and is also endorsed by Squash
Racquets Association of Malaysia and also Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN).
The 7th leg of this tournament will start on the 8th September. This
7th leg will be held at Pahang SUKMA Squash Court at Teluk Sisek,
Kuantan, Pahang.
This leg’s top seeds for men’s category will be James Huang from
Taipei and Addeen Idrakie from Malaysia, meanwhile for women’s
category top seeds will be Coline Aumard from France and Rachel
Arnold from Malaysia.
