Lake lashes top seed to reach final

England's Nathan Lake came from a game down to topple top seed James Huang in Pahang, the third seed prevailing in four games after a 77-minute match.

In the final he'll face home player Addeen Idrakie, the fourth seed who beat compatriot Elvinn Keo in straight games.

The women's final will be contested by the top seeds after France's Coline Aumard and Malaysia's Rachel Arnold won in straight games - although top seed Aumard's  win over Hana Ramadan took 50 minutes.

10-Sep, Quarters
Seeds assert in Pahang

Quarter-finals in Pahang saw the seede palyers exert their authority, but it was easier for some than others.

In the women's draw Coline Aumard, Hana Ramadan and Teh Min Jie all progressed ion straight games in half an hour or less, but second seed Rachel Arnold took over an hour to get past fellow-Malaysian Zuljijah Binti Azan 8/11, 11/9, 21/19, 11/7.

Top seed in the men's draw James Huang needed four games to beat Jordan's Ahmad Alsaraj, and he'll meet Nathan Lake after the third seeded Englishman saw off Muhd Hannan in straight games.

The bottom half of the draw saw two tough all-Malaysian encounters as fourth seed Addeen Idrakie beat Valentino Bong 11/6, 10/12, 11/8, 16/14 while Elvinn Keo, seeded #8, stopped the giant-killing run of Mohd Syafiq Kamal 12/10, 12/10, 11/13, 6/11, 11/9.

09-Sep, Round One:
Kamal stops Singh

Just one upset in the men's first round in Pahang as Mohd Syafiq Kamal, a late entry into the main draw after some withdrawals, beat second seed Sanjay Singh 12/10 in the fifth.

Kamal is one of five Malaysians through to the quarter-finals, four of them in the bottom half to guarantee a home finalist.

In the women's draw top seeds Coline Aumard and Rachel Arnold received byes into the last eight, where they re joined by the remaining six seeds.

Leg Seven Preview

2015 Malaysian Tour Squash Circuit will bring joy and good news for our local men’s and women’s national and back-up players who have insufficient funds to travel outside of Malaysia to play PSA tournaments.

Sportspin Event & Athlete Management Sdn Bhd is proud to announce that we are going to host at least 10 WSA and PSA events all over Malaysia. This will help our national men’s and women’s back – up players to improve their ranking by playing these events and also exposing them to a higher level of competition to further prepare them for bigger international events.

This year, Sportspin will organize four doubles circuit, three normal standard doubles and one jumbo doubles before the SEA GAMES in Singapore .

Sportspin Event & Athlete Management is working together with ASB Squash Court, Ashaway and PSA. Our events are also being supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and is also endorsed by Squash Racquets Association of Malaysia and also Majlis Sukan Negara (MSN).

The 7th leg of this tournament will start on the 8th September. This 7th leg will be held at Pahang SUKMA Squash Court at Teluk Sisek, Kuantan, Pahang.

This leg’s top seeds for men’s category will be James Huang from Taipei and Addeen Idrakie from Malaysia, meanwhile for women’s category top seeds will be Coline Aumard from France and Rachel Arnold from Malaysia.
