Liberty Bell Open 2014
09-12 Jan, Berwyn, Usa, $5k

Final:

Torky too
strong for Sobhy in Berwyn final

The final of the first WSA event of the year was contested by the top seeds, Heba El Torky and Sabrina Sobhy, and it was the Egyptian who beat the home favourite in straight games to collect her sixth career WSA title (out of just seven finals played). For Sobhy it was a repeat of her disappointment in last year's final.

"I'm so happy to win the 1st WSA title of the year at liberty bell open and my 6th WSA tournament.

I would like to thank Dominic, his team and the sponsors on putting this event for more than 10 years now.

And big thanks to my parents, Coaches for working so hard with me and of course my sponsor Harrow Sports.

The first WSA event of the year is guaranteed to see an Egyptian finalist after top seed Heba El Torky and Salma Nasser, seeded fourth, won through to the last four with straight game wins in the quarter-finals.
