Indian Junior Open
The Rs.6 lakhs prize money
7th Indian Junior Open will be held at the Umed Club
from 26-30 September, with the tournament receiving over 350
entries from across 8 countries.
The tournament is a Squash Rackets Federation of India (SRFI),
Asian Junior Super Series and World Junior Circuit event
with competitions in five age groups each for boys and
girls.
The participants will receive WSF, ASF and SRFI ranking
points.
Overseas response has come in from – Bangladesh, Hong Kong,
China, India, Malaysia, Nepal, Singapore, Srilanka and the
United States. Players from Iran had to withdraw from the
event due to visa issue and Egypt’s Salma Mohamed Mounir had
to withdraw due to injury.
Matches will be held on six courts, two of which have been
totally refurbished.
