PSA BABIES: I'M IN LOVE
by Logan Willstrop
HOW
ON EARTH are we supposed to choose "l'élue de notre coeur", THE ONE we are going
to love all our lives?
I mean, look at my mum and dad. Aren't they cute
together? I wish I had the same "douceur" in my life, that cuddly feeling all
day long ...
I have to say whoever organised Life is a bit of a clever bugger. He/She gave us
plenty of options, I have to admit.
Take me for example. I was starting to
think, ok, now what, where to look, who to choose to share my sandbox.
Compulsory of course, I would rather keep it in the Squash Babies ... So I
started to search ... And I was spoilt for choice.
Azlan had an adorable daughter, Zara,
but far too old for me, born in December 2013.
Ong Jannelle, cute and all but Malaysia, faaaaar away, no, I want to be
able to have a baby bottle with my girl without having to take a flight across
the world.
In the same token,
Davide's daughter, Eleni, has the Italian Charm, and I must say I
nearly melted. But again, Italy??? I don't trust long distance relationships,
me.
So I nearly gave up on the whole thing, when in September, CHRISTMAS IN
SEPTEMBER! TWO BEAUTIFUL YORKSHIRE GIRLS!!!
And talk about Pedigree! First beauty,
Francesca aka Frankie Parke, her dad Simon was like one of the
best players in the whole world - not as good as my dad of course, but then
again, nobody is - and her mum, she is the daughter of the Best Sheriff in Town,
John Massarella. I thought I had found my Lady, when suddenly, I knew.
Charlotte Matthew appeared, like in a Cloud of Stars....
I
mean. Just the name. What a beautiful name. Just hearing it, it's like music. Plus it reminds
me of a nice cake I tasted last week, and that was quite an experience!
She is just perfect for me. She lives next door - Sheffield, her dad is World
Top Racquet 3 times my Dad says, her mum is a physio - perfect, we'll have
treatment for free when we are playing on the Tour, she is as GORGEOUS as it
comes, she's got her running shoes already, a great sense of style, plus, she is
already sponsored by England Squash! What more do you want??
OK,
I have to admit I was a bit scared at first when I saw the first picture, as she
reaaaaally looked like her dad, but now, she is looking more and more like her
mum, and that's a relief ...
I'm not sure what my GrandDad - don't call him GrandDad - mumbled something
about "not going to be possible, Capulet and Montague story, Shake-Expire", but
I don't care. True love won't be stopped. She is MINE.
I'm in Love. And it feels amazingly good.
