
10-May, Finals:
English double in Gerona
No surprises in the
finals. England won in both U-15 and U-17. The English were
too strong for the Czech and Scottish teams, congratulations
to them.
Everything went fine in the closing ceremony. The Czech
Republic received the European Federation flag as hosts for
the next year's junior championships.
“I would like to thank all the
staff of this tournament. It was a great experience to be
here and I can probably affirm that this was one of the best
European Junior Teams Championships I participate as a
coach.
"The people involved was nice and competent. The atmosphere
in the camping was pleasant and juniors loved that.
"I can only hope to come again to Girona and enjoy again the
Spanish hospitality”

09-May, Day Three:
Spain rewrites history
pain, No. 11 seed, reached the semifinals in the U-15 for
the first time in the history. The Spaniards beat Hungary in
a thrilling match. Pascal Gomez and Ana Arosa won their
respective matches to put Spain into semis.
The biggest upset:
Also it was the first time in history that Scotland reaches
the U-17 final.
“I am more excited than my players are” says Claire Kidd.
"The tournament atmosphere and
hospitality has been excellent for all the Welsh team. Tino,
David and Bruno are great hosts and no problem is too much
trouble.
"The camp life brings all countries together and this is a
fantastic way for our players to mix with the best of
Europe."

08-May, Day Two:
The second day of pool action with almost 75 matches saw a
few major upsets. Now, the first two teams go through
quarter finals.
Today
all matches were incredibly on time. Both teams, the U-15
and U-17 from England with four wins out of four came first
in their respective pools. If everything goes as pools say
they will meet Hungary and Netherlands in semi-finals.
In the bottom half of the draw, Wales will meet in the
semi-finals Czech Republic in U-15 and France in U-17.


07-May, Day One:
The
first point of the day was the opening ceremony with all
teams next at the swimming pool and the official picture to
support the squash candidacy for the Olympics 2016.
Everything ihas been going well, the swimming pool was full
of players from 11:00am until 6:00pm and the matches are
going almost as scheduled.
There were some surprising results:
U-15
Finland beat France 2-1
Spain beat Israel 2-1
Germany beat Netherlands 2-1
Italy beat Netherlands 2-1
Tomorrow pools will be over and top two teams from all pools
will go through to quarter finals.
