Seeds scattered in Chorley
Three big upsets on quarter-finals night in Chorley as first
Olivia Blatchford, then Misaki Kobayashi and finally
Donna Urquhart all upset the seedings.
Blatchford took out fourth seed Sam Cornett in four games, Kobayashi
accounted for third seed Tesni Evans 13/11 in the fifth and Urquhart
came from 2-1 down to beat top seed Sarah-Jane Perry !

Seeds safely through to quarters
The first round at David Lloyd in Chorley saw all eitht seeds
progress to the quarter-finals, mostly with straight-game wins but
top seed Sarah-Jane Perry, the British National Champion,
was taken to five by France's Coline Aumard in a re-run of their
meeting in the European Teams final at the weekend.
