Looking at the A draws for this year's British Universities Championships, two names stood out - former world number one Vanessa Atkinson and reigning World and British Junior Open champion Mohamed El Shorbagy.



Both duly claimed their respective titles without dropping a game, but Shorbagy was pushed close in most games, beating Lyall Paterson in the final, while Atkinson beat Sarah-Jane Perry in the women's final.
